The Quicksilver Group is investing in the future of tourism and the Region with an investment of over 1 million dollars in the refurbishment of vessels Quicksilver V and Ocean Spirit.
Celebrating Queensland’s tourism industry and achievements, the Quicksilver Group was again proudly recognised as the State’s Best “Major Tour and/or Transport Operator” for the second year in a row at the prestigious 2013 Queensland Tourism Awards, announced in Brisbane on 22 November. (more…)
The ocean temperature was warm, and 4 nights after the full moon, when there was little tidal movement and the sun had set… Mother Nature’s conditions were just right for the annual phenomenon known as Coral Spawning on the Great Barrier Reef.
A small Hawkesbill turtle named Harry is helping to solve the mysteries of a turtle’s “missing years”, while Di the Green Sea turtle has set out on a new adventure and life at Low Isles after being released.
Great Adventures had the honor of hosting the Queen’s Baton to Green Island to showcase to the world the Great Barrier Reef, an icon of Australia. The Baton is on a 190,000 kilometre journey to 71 Nations and Territories that make up the Commonwealth Countries before arriving in Glasgow next year for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.(more…)
